Beef Stew Recipe
Ingredients:
- 350g lean beef round, roast, cut into cubes
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 medium red bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves cloves, minced
- 2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
- 200g baby carrots
- 1 cup beef stock
- 1 glass light beer
- 1/4 cup Carnation Evap
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp paprika
Procedure:
- Grease a non-skillet pan and heat over medium-high heat.
- Add beef, onion, pepper and garlic; cook until beef is browned, stirring for 3 minutes.
- Stir in potatoes, carrots, stock and beer; bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer until meat is tender and the alcohol of the beef has evaporated for 30 minutes.
- Stir together Carnation Evap, cornstarch and paprika in a small cup.
- Add to beef mixture and stir to combine.
- Cook until slightly thickened and bubbly for 5 minutes; cook stirring occasionally for 2 minutes more.
