Cooking Information:
- Estimated Time: 45 minutes
Ingredients:
1 kilo Shrimp
12 pieces Tamarind (Sampaloc)
1 big onion, diced
- 3 big tomatoes (quartered)
- 2 pieces radish, sliced
- 1 bundle Sitaw (Stringbeans)
- 1 bundle Kangkong, cut into 2″ long
- 3 pieces long green pepper
- 5 cups rice wash or water
- salt or patis (fish sauce) to taste
Procedure:
- Boil Tamarind in rice wash or water to soften. Pound and extract all juices and set aside.
- In a casserole, boil rice wash or water, tamarind juice, onions, tomatoes and radish.
- Lower fire; add in shrimps, kangkong, sitaw and green long pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and patis (fish sauce).
- Serve hot.

Ingredients:
- 1 medium sized bangus (milkfish)
- 2 cups water
- 3 pcs tomatoes, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 cup tamarind juice (boil tamarind in 1 cup water then extract the juice)
- 1 cup puso ng saging (banana blossom)
- 1 cup kangkong (swamp cabbage)
- patis (fish sauce) or salt to taste
Procedure:
- Clean and cut bangus into 3 pieces. Sprinkle with salt.
- In a casserole, Boil the tomatoes and onions in water.
- Add bangus (milkfish), puso ng saging (banana blossoms) and patis (fish sauce) to taste.
- Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes. Add the kangkong (swamp cabbage) then serve.
