Nilagang Baka Recipe

Cooking Information:

  • Estimated cooking time: 1 hour

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. beef cut pieces
  • 2 cubes of beef or beef stock (plain water would suffice)
  • 1 tsp. peppercorns
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 3 medium-sized potatoes cut into quarters
  • 1 small head of bok choy (pechay)
  • I small head of cabbage cut into quarters
  • salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:

  1. Put water in a pan and beef until boil.
  2. Add onions, peppercorns and in a pot and simmer for 30 minutes or until the beef is very tender.
  3. Add carrots, potatoes, bok choy (pechay) and cabbage then boil for another 10-15 minutes or until the vegetable is done.
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste and boil for another 5-10 minutes and then serve.
