Pork Puchero Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs Pork butt or shoulder, cut into small cubes
  • 1 pc green onions, chopped
  • 1 pc celery stalk
  • 1 head cabbage
  • 2 pcs potatoes, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 lb green string beans
  • 1 pc green pepper, chopped
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup garbanzo beans
  • 2 tbsp salt

Procedure:

  1. In a pot, add your meat and filled water until boil. Reduce the heat and wait until the meat is tender.
  2. Remove meat from the pot, add green beans, potatoes and cabbage.
  3. In a saucepan, saute celery, green pepper, onions and garlic. Add tomato sauce then simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Add some pork broth and chickpeas.
  5. Serve the dishes on steamed rice and garnish with Pepperoni slices. Pour the tomato sauce over the meat and vegetables.
