Stir-Fried Tofu and Vegetables Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 blocks firm tofu, cut into 1/2″ strips
- 2 tsp Maggi Magic Sarap
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- cooking oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup cashew, toasted and chopped
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped (optional)
- 2 cups Baguio beans, slice 2″ long
- 1 cup carrot strips
- 1 small head cabbage, shredded
- 1 tbsp Maggi Savor, Garlic
- 2 tsp Maggi Magic Sarap
- 1/4 cup black pepper
- 1/4 cup water
Procedure:
- Season tofu strips with Maggi Magic Sarap, salt and black pepper.
- Heat a large frying pan with a tablespoon of cooking oil
- When pan is hot, stir-fry the tofu over medium high heat until slightly golden.
- When tofu is cooked, stir in the garlic and cashew. Cook for another minute. Stir in the brown sugar, cook for another couples of minutes.
- Remove pan from heat and stir in the cilantro. Scrape the tofu out onto a plate and set aside.
- In the same pan, add a touch more oil. Over medium high heat, stir-fry the Baguio beans, carrots and cabbage one after the other. Season with Maggi Savor, Maggi Magic Sarap and black pepper. Add the vegetables into cooked tofu.
- Splash the unwashed frying pan with water and simmer while scraping the golden bits to create a thin sauce. Add the sauce to the cooked tofu and vegetables and toss. Serve immediately with rice.
